Mythri Not Happy With Waltair Veerayya Date

The Sankranthi clash is shaping up nicely with the two Telugu biggies Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya locking the release slots. Balakrishna-starrer has locked 12 January and Chiranjeevi starrer has locked 13 January.

But it is now heard that Mythri Movie Makers are not pleased with the 13 January slot for Waltair Veerayya.

It is learned that Mythri tried their best to lock the early slot of 11 January – a Wednesday release domestically with Tuesday USA premieres. They felt this would’ve been ideal as with this release plan, the Tuesday offers in the USA will help the premiere number and also, the domestic market will be on a high as the Chiranjeevi starrer will be the first release next Sankranthi.

But it is heard that Chiranjeevi is adamant about the early release slot and he persists on the 13 January slot.

Despite the official announcement on the release date, Mythri Movie Makers are still trying to convince Chiru to go for the early release plan. They are expected to continue their efforts till the last minute to go for 11 January slot. Their stakes are stacked heavily on Veerayya and hence the extra efforts to get best optimal release slot.
