Mythri has forayed into the distribution in Nizam and positioned itself opposite Dil Raju and Suniel Narang, who hold a monopoly in the region.
Mythri is busy trying to improve its footprint in Nizam by acquiring as many theaters as possible. It is taking over the theaters and is spending huge money to renovate them.
The focus is more on the single-screen theaters.
Thus, renovated theaters are coming as the best theaters for the audience. Vimal in Balangar is an example.
On a different note, it is becoming increasingly difficult to run theaters, especially single-screen theaters.
The real estate value of these properties is very high, even then the owners chose to run the theaters for prestige and love towards cinema despite heavy losses.
As a result, many theaters are becoming Marriage Halls and Warehouses.
In what can be termed as a reverse of the trend, Mythri is turning a marriage hall into a theater.
Baba Theater in Mahabubnagar was an old theater, and people stopped going there. The owner decided to convert it into a marriage hall.
Mythri had taken over it and is renovating it by spending a whopping 6 Crore Rupees.
It will have the best of the facilities like 4K Projection, Dolby Atmos sound, Lavish Seating, etc.
Mythri is currently renovating Parameshwari Theater in Kothagudem, Srikrishna and Ramakrishna theaters in Mahabubnagar, and Manohar Theater in Narayanpet.
They also have renovation plans for Srinivasa in Wanaparthy and another theater in Nagarkurnool in the pipeline.
The major problem for Mythri in Nizam is Hyderabad Cit,y where they have just five theaters.
