The Paradise Final US BO: Did Nani Miss a $5M Jackpot?

Nani’s The Paradise has finally ended its North American theatrical run at $2.12 million. For a film that generated enormous hype and was expected to take Nani into the big league, the final result is a massive disappointment.

The biggest shock is the collapse after its opening.

The film collected a staggering $1.63 million on Day 1, including premieres. However, it finished its entire North American run at just $2.12 million. That means the film added less than $500K after its massive opening day. The initial hype brought audiences to theatres, but the film’s content failed to sustain momentum.

The USA contributed $1.96 million, while Canada added $161K. The Hindi version collected just $13K, and the Tamil version managed a negligible $213.

With even average talk, The Paradise had the potential to collect $4 million to $5 million in North America. For Nani, this could remain a lifelong regret. The film had the scale, hype and opening numbers to deliver a career-defining blockbuster in the US, but the final collections failed to match expectations.

According to trade estimates, The Paradise is reportedly closing at around Rs. 165 crores worldwide gross, with the Telugu version contributing approximately Rs. 150 crores.

The Paradise is Nani’s biggest grosser to date.
