Two Flops: Will Chiranjeevi Get Third Time Lucky?

There’s a lot of excitement around the upcoming film starring Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Anil Ravipudi.

The search for the leading lady is ongoing, with Nayanthara being considered the frontrunner. However, her high remuneration demands are causing a delay in finalizing her role.

Anil Ravipudi is running out of time. The movie is set to release by Sankranti 2026, which means filming must wrap up within the next seven months. This leaves little time for shooting, post-production, promotions, and other preparations.

If Nayanthara joins, it will be her third film with Chiranjeevi. Their previous collaborations, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Godfather, didn’t make a big impact. In Sye Raa, her role as the wife was forgettable, and the film underperformed.

In Godfather, her portrayal of Chiranjeevi’s sister failed to connect with the audience, and the film was a flop. Fans are hoping this new film will change that trend and become a hit.

Anil Ravipudi has already locked the script and is working on location scouting and casting. He plans to begin regular shooting in June.

Meanwhile, there’s still one song left to shoot for Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film Vishwambhara, and dubbing work is in progress.
