New Age Director Confused or off Track?

Tharun Bhascker came up with an announcement about his small screen stint as an anchor for a program to be aired, very soon. His show is going to be ‘Neeku Maatrame Cheptha‘. All this has been happening while we were actually waiting for his next project as a director.

He started off as a director with blockbuster ‘Pelli Choopulu’. Though his following directorial ventures didn’t yield success, everyone saw his potential and most importantly his knack to come up with fresh idea even with his failure projects.

All of a sudden, he turned an actor with ‘Falaknuma Das’ and later a protagonist in ‘Meeku Maatrame Cheptha’ and the latter turned out to be a disaster. Though Tharun announced a film with Venkatesh, the senior hero is busy with the remake of ‘Asuran’ as ‘Narappa’.

Instead of coming up with another fresh project and show his potential once again, he took an entirely different route. Let’s remind ourselves that this is an industry that forgets very easily.

If a director takes a long gap and with flops in between, the new batch of talent will come and take over. That’s already happening now, and we can clearly see it. Hope, Tharun Bhascker sees it and gets back into the track.
