New Director Suggests Damage Control For Controversial Remake

The Tamil remake of cult movie Arjun Reddy has finally found a director. Girisayya, formerly an assistant of Sandeep Reddy Vanga has been chosen to direct the remake from the start all over again.

As we all know, National Award winning director Bala was initially roped in, to director Arjun Reddy remake in Tamil. The movie was titled Varmaa, and the trailer too was out. However, owing to the creative difference in vision, the entire output was scrapped and the makers decided to shoot Varmaa entirely from scratch. A new heroine has been selected to this effect, and now a director too is on board.

One still doesn’t get the idea behind all these happening, frankly. The only hope here seems to be to get the tone of the movie as close to the original Arjun Reddy as possible. In that way, even a failure can be less damaging than going completely away and failing that will lead to unlimited trolling.
