Strong PR, Disaster Results: Even Prabhas, PK Failed Her

Actress Nidhhi Agerwal had pinned all her hopes on Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which finally released last year after being stuck in production for nearly four years. The prolonged delay, zero hype, and the fact that director Krish Jagarlamudi exited the project midway, after which AM Jyothi Krishna completed it, all worked against the film. As a result, the movie came as a rude shock to Nidhhi, especially because she actively participated in promotions more than even Pawan Kalyan, placing strong faith in the project.

Despite Hari Hara Veera Mallu’s outcome, there was optimism that The Raja Saab would elevate her career. Although the film featured three heroines, Nidhhi stood out in terms of screen presence. She also got a solo song, Sahana Sahana, in the film. Her pairing with Prabhas tried to attract attention, and she believed the film would give her a pan India boost. However, the film’s disastrous response has left her disappointed once again. While Prabhas films usually carry massive pan India buzz, The Raja Saab did not deliver the impact she hoped for.

After scoring a big hit with Ismart Shankar, Nidhhi did not receive many strong roles. Even though she acted alongside top stars like Pawan Kalyan last year and Prabhas this year, luck did not favor her career momentum. She has mentioned in interviews that she has three interesting projects lined up, but it remains to be seen whether those opportunities will sustain after these results.

In today’s cinema landscape, glamour alone no longer guarantees career growth. Actresses need strong and meaningful roles that contribute to the story. Even glamorous roles must feel essential to the narrative. Otherwise, they fail to leave an impact.

Although Nidhhi wants to continue doing Telugu films and has landed big star projects, her career seems to be going nowhere after the Raja Saab debacle. Despite having some fan support in Tamil cinema as well due to her glamour, recent opportunities there have also slowed down. She also has a strong PR at the ground level who keeps hyping her but that also isn’t helping much. How her career shapes up after The Raja Saab will be closely watched.
