Niharika Konidela Announces New Film Pocket Rockets
Niharika Konidela’s production banner, Pink Elephant Pictures, has joined Maximum City Studios for Pocket Rockets, an urban drama written and directed by Rudra Atri. The film follows a young protagonist facing circumstances that test his determination, with a story centred on ambition, uncertainty and the consequences of taking risks.
Academically gifted but financially disadvantaged, the central character hopes to pursue his education overseas. When limited resources threaten his plans, he turns to gambling and becomes involved with a manipulative figure in the betting world. This creates a conflict between his ambitions and personal principles. The filmmakers have not revealed further details about how the story unfolds.
Trinadh Varma and Nirmal play the lead roles, with Shriya Kontham as the female lead. JD Chakravarthy appears in an important role. Varma previously worked in Committee Kurrollu, while Kontham appeared in Shubham. The cast brings together actors with different levels of experience.
The film is produced by Padmaja Konidela, Rahul Raghavendra and Rahul Nimmakuri, with Ramesh Manyam serving as executive producer. The technical team includes cinematographer Edurolu Raju, composer Gyaani and editor Anwar Ali. Vishnu Vardhan Pulla handles production design, Rajesh Lanka oversees action choreography, and JD handles choreography. Anusha Devara designs the costumes, while Sai Maneendhar Reddy supervises special effects. Murali Krishna Katta serves as co-director, alongside makeup chief Pasupuleti Ravi Kumar, costume chief R. Bhupal Rao and production controller Rawindar Bekkam. Varahala Murthy handles still photography, while SK Naidu and Phani Kandukuri of Beyond Media manage publicity.
Filming has been completed, and post-production work is currently underway. The makers are expected to announce the release date and share further updates about Pocket Rockets soon.
