This difference was brought up during M9’s interaction with Niharika Konidela, who was asked about the contrasting performance of the two industries.

Responding to the question, Niharika said that this was Tamil cinema’s time and that Tollywood’s time would also come. She expressed confidence that Telugu cinema would deliver films with different concepts and find its own success.
