No.1 Film Minted 279 Cr in the First Half of COVID Year

There are no theatrical releases for more than three months, but out of the movies that were released before the lockdown, Bollywood periodical drama ‘Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior’ has collected Rs. 279 crores in India alone.

The worldwide gross lifetime collections of the movie were Rs. 367.65 crores. So, this Ajay Devgan starrer happens to be the biggest blockbuster of the year, so far and the number-one film of 2020.

There is almost no chance for any other movie to go so far as the corona lockdown stalled the shootings of the biggies that could have been a competition for ‘Tanhaji’ to beat the box-office record.

The film was co-produced by T-Series and the protagonist Ajay Devgan that minted money for them before lockdown.
