No Arrest. CB Lets Amala Paul Go

Amala Paul in a tax evasion case has appeared before the Crime Branch for investigation on Monday where she repeated the same version that she did not try to evade the tax rules but have shown the house that she rented in Puducherry as the address proof for her luxury car registration.

The Crime Branch had a quick interaction with the actress and there was no arrest with the officials let her go after the investigation. In a similar case, another actor Suresh Gopi who is also the Member of Parliament has been arrested and was released on bail yesterday.

This seems to be a regular practice there to show the address proof of some property in Puducherry by submitting the forged documents to register their high-end vehicles as the tax reduces by 13 percent if registered in Union Territory. Amala Paul did the same, but luckily, she seems to have the proper documentation for the police let her go.
