No Ghost Director Blame for Fidaa

It’s a known fact in the industry that producers like Dil Raju who have good judgement on what would work in a film get themselves involved right from the script work to the final product. Frankly, he is said to be the ghost director of most of his films. Of course, he worked mostly with the directors he can command and involve.

However, ‘Fidaa’ isn’t ghost directed by Dil Raju. The Shekhar Kammula kind of style giving importance to moments rather than an extraordinary story clearly speaks the fact. Shekhar Kammula’s style of filmmaking doesn’t allow others to interfere as he alone knows the thread between the scenes in his films.

That could be the reason why Dil Raju never interfered and gave full freedom to the director. The producer visited the sets of the film only a couple of times and felt it’s all about moments rather than the story. So, there was no chance to make corrections or suggest changes. Well, a filmmaker like Shekhar Kammula needs that kind of freedom to come up with the best he can offer. Wont you agree?
