Nandamuri Balakrishna‘s Akhanda has been released today across the globe. The talk and the reviews are mixed but the openings are excellent everywhere. They are uniformly good across all the areas and all classes of theaters including the Overseas.

It has to be seen how the movie sustains in the days to come. Irrespective of how the movie performs, Akhanda should be credited for bringing the audience to the theaters. All the theaters have resembled the Pre-COVID days much to the delight of the trade. If everything goes right, the movie is looking at a 10 Crore opening in AP and Telangana.

That will also pump loads of confidence into the movie teams that have lined up their films in the next couple of months. This is also the first time the US Box office has responded positively. In a way, Akhanda is a good omen for the industry and the trade. As much as 56 Crore is riding on the film’s theatrical business.

Akhanda will have a breathing space with no significant releases coming up in his second week.
