It looks like that it is time for alcohol lovers in Telangana to rejoice. The state government recently revised it policy on setting up drinking establishments and it is highly likely that Telangana would see a rise in the number of bars in the state.

These new guidelines came in on Wednesday and it outlined the number of bars allowed in proportion of the number of people. In Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits, the state allows one bar for every 13 thousand people while in other municipalities and corporations, every 30 thousand people would see a new bar. However the orders did not specify any mandals or geographical divisions or even revenue divisions.

As for its implementation, while new excise year generally begins on July 1, this time it is expected to begin on October 1 to better implement the revamped policies.
