Previously, there were sports of a sports drama or cowboy movie in the combination of Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli. However, the latest buzz suggests that it would be a mega-budgeted action-adventure flick set in the forests. To be more explicit, it could be on the lines of the all-time classic, Indiana Jones series.
In Telugu, we have had something similar (in parts, only) with Chiranjeevi’s Anji. But that was a long ago, and it was a delayed project. A new subject on those lines with a proper mixture of action and adventure using the latest technology and budgets is an excellent idea. It would be befitting SSR and Mahesh Babu’s first-time combo. It could meet the gigantic expectations the fans will have on them.
Vijayendra Prasad has confirmed that the work has begun on locking the script. Only after the final version is okayed to everyone’s satisfaction will the movie get on to sets. It will be a long time, before that happens, though.
Mahesh Babu is currently busy with Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Rajamouli, on the other hand, has RRR to wrap up and release. Once both are free from their current commitments then the project in their combination will reach the next stage.
