Not Even 1 Cr Opening In AP/TS For Star Hero?

Is an established fact that the Telugu audience have this unreal fascination with films and tend to watch films of all languages along with Telugu. That is the reason why several Tamil heroes have a considerable market in Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Coming to the point, Tamil Hero Ajith Kumar is arriving at the Telugu box office with his upcoming film Pattudala (original is titled Vidaamuyarchi) this weekend, February 6. This film is billed to be a stylish action entertainer.

However, the issue here is that the latest box office projection start suggesting that this Ajith Kumar starrer might not even collect ₹1 crore share in the Telugu states on opening day.

Earlier, Ajith had at least not worthy openings in Telugu and his films happened to open with at least mention worthy numbers. But in the case of his latest film Pattudala, things aren’t very positive. This film has virtually nothing going its way.

Ajith is anyway from promotions like he usually is, and on top of that, the makers have also oddly gone easy on the promotional campaign. Despite the presence of a star hero like Ajith, and a superstar music composer like Anirudh Ravichander, this film is going to struggle to sell any tickets in the Telugu states on the opening day.

It would take a miracle for this film to open beyond the 1 crore mark in Telugu, it seems.

The numbers might be partly decent in the Tamil market considering the existing image of Ajith. But these numbers are also likely to be very moderate as no record openings are expected here either.
