Not remaking Chiru’s Rudraveena: Aamir

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has refuted rumours that he is remaking K. Balachander’s classic hit Rudraveena starring Chiranjeevi. The rumours surfaced after Aamir’s meeting with KB at his residence recently while the actor’s visit to Chennai to attend the Chennai Film Festival. Aamir said he only paid KB a visit out of sheer love and that he has no plans to remake any of his films.

Aamir admitted he is a big fan of the legendary filmmaker and meeting him for the first time in 2008 was the most emotional day of his life. He said that he can never touch of any of his films and would always admire him for his simplicity and humility even when he enjoys the status of a legend. He said there’s so much to learn from him and he will always remain his biggest fan.

Aamir also said that he would love to do a south Indian film but since he doesn’t know the language he has never expressed keen interest. He said that if he would get to play a character that doesn’t need him to speak the local language then he would most happily act in a southern film.
