If Not Sharwa, Could Akhil Have Pulled off OCD?

Sharwanand is basking in the praises he has been receiving for his performance in ‘Mahanubhavudu’ as an individual who is suffering from extreme OCD of many things. It’s a loaded character which needs to be handled with care not to over-do and irritate the audiences.

Coming to Akhil, the script of Maruti’s Dasara blockbuster initially went to Akhil Akkineni for his second movie. But then, the combo of Maruti and Akhil didn’t materialize and then it went straight to Sharwanand. Akhil moved on to do ‘Hello’ with Vikram Kumar as his next project.

After watching how Sharwa played the role, one would doubt if Akhil could have pulled off the role so well. Such a role requires matured performance and hence, a matured actor. Critics had written off Akhil as an actor by the virtue of his debut movie. So, it’s highly doubtful if Akhil had pulled off the OCD role.

According to the buzz, Maruti is going to do Naga Chaitanya’s next and the probable title is ‘Manchodu’ based on ‘Manchitanam’. Though it is not official, Maruti seems to be travelling on a linear track trying concepts like memory loss, OCD and now, benevolence.
