US BO: Rude Shock to Nag!

‘Officer‘ premiere shows collected $27,176 from 52 locations at the USA box-office. This is the total collection even after the activation of MoviePass in the USA which gives the opportunity for the subscribers to watch the movie for free.

‘Officer’ stood at the lowest premiere collection for Nag in the recent times with ‘Manam’ the highest ($95K), followed by ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’ ($81K), ‘Oopiri’ ($76K) and ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ ($50K). Nag-RGV was a hit combination and they were truly responsible for breaking the path of Telugu Film Industry with ‘Siva’, releasing it from the shackles of cliched film-making.

Though their next movie, ‘Govinda Govinda’ didn’t work well, RGV put the major blame on the CBFC for giving maximum cuts in the name of a sensitive issue, robbery in Tirupathi Devasthanam. Now, the exciting combo is back with ‘Officer’. Actually, the combo should have created excitement in the trade and the audiences. But, it was not the case. ‘Officer’ didn’t prove Nag’s judgement right, this time.
