It’s Official: Sye Raa Makers To Take Big Risk

It is official now, music director AR Rahman has opted out of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s magnum opus, Sye Raa. Surender Reddy directs the film. The musician has confirmed it to leading dailies after few weeks of speculation regarding his exit.

AR Rahman said that he really wanted to do the project, but he doesn’t have time for it.” I love Megastar and I always thought of doing a movie with him”, says the star musician. He also added that he has heard the script and that it is amazing. After cinematographer Ravi Varman, this is the second high profile exit from Sye Raa.

It brings us to another interesting question? Are the makers of Sye Raa going to take that big risk? It is heard from some one that SS Thaman was the alternative choice for the makers if AR Rahman was not able to make it. With the music director making it official, will Sye Raa unit give Thaman the biggest project of his life?

Sye Raa is made on a mammoth budget of over 150 Cr. Ram Charan produces the historical based on the freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. The regular shooting of the movie is going to begin from the first week of December.
