Official: Chiranjeevi Locks His Sankranthi Slot

The two Telugu biggies Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya have locked the official Sankranthi release slots now. While it was already confirmed that Veera Simha Reddy would be released on the 12th of January, Waltair Veerayya has locked its slot now.

As per the latest announcement from the makers of Waltair Veerayya, the film is announced for theatrical release on the 13th of January.

Now it is confirmed that Veera Simha Reddy will be released on the 12th of January, and the Chiranjeevi starrer will be released a day later.

In all likelihood, Tamil star Ajith’s Thunivu that is also being released in Telugu, will be released on the 11th of January, giving it a good potential for strong openings.

Then there’s the head-on clash between Veera Simha Reddy and Varasudu on 12 January. Then on the 13th of January, we will see a triangular clash between the three of these films. Varasudu has Dil Raju’s backing and that’s why it’ll hold a substantial number of theaters.

It is up to Mythri Movie Makers now to orchestrate a big release for Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya. The last time Chiru came for Sankranthi he delivered a blockbuster with Khaidi 150. Can he emulate something similar during 2023 Sankranthi?
