One More Embarrassment Waiting For Chiranjeevi?

Megastar’s box office run hasn’t been going too great of late. After the Acharya debacle, people expected GodFather will redeem his position at the box office. But the film failed to meet the expectations of the trade.

Despite decent word of mouth, the main reason for the film becoming a flop is the remake factor. After the OTT boom, remakes are being completely rejected be it any industry, Tollywood, Sandalwood, or Bollywood. People are just not interested in venturing into the theaters for a film whose original version is already available on OTT.

Chiranjeevi is next coming up with Mega154 which has some genuine hype mainly because it is an original film. But after that, there is again Bholaa Shankar, a remake of the Tamil film Veeram.

Even Megastar has now realized that remakes are being rejected left, right, and center but he can’t help it. He and his fans have to suffer the calamity called Bholaa Shankar.

Mega fans are terrified about its BO performance not just because it is a remake but also because it is directed by none other than Meher Ramesh.

The trade analysts are saying that Chiru and his fans have to swallow this bitter pill, despite knowing its fate beforehand.
