Only Industry Hit can save Superstar’s buyers?

Even after multiple setbacks it seems our distributors are far from learning lesson if one goes by the way they are doing the business for upcoming Superstar Mahesh Babu’s film. We are talking about the film Srimanthudu the actor is doing under Koratala Siva’s direction.

Overseas rights for the film have been sold recently and people in the trade say that the price is such that only an Industry Hit in this territory could give minimum profits to the distributors. Mahesh Babu without any doubt is a top star in overseas but given the limitations of the market, even the biggest star can only do so much. If the talk isn’t as good as one expects it to be then things could be even bleaker for all the parties involved.

However the makers as well as distributors are confident about the run and star power of Mahesh Babu. His last film despite the disastrous talk manage to be a break even to minor loss venture for the distributors. Hence there is absolutely no hesitation seen when such a high risk deal was signed between them for the rights.

Srimanthudu is currently undergoing it’s shoot at a fast pace. However it is still not clear as to when the film would be released. Few say it would be a late summer release but trade is still skeptical about this plan coming to fruition. What is clear though is that whenever the film makes it to big screen it needs few open weeks of run to recover this huge price for sure.
