Openings: Bimbisara Flying Start, Sita Ramam Decent

The Telugu audience have shown that they are ready to revive the Telugu theatrical market if they are offered the right content. The bright starts for Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s Bimbisara, and Dulquer’s Sita Ramam clearly implies the same.

The costliest project in Kalyan Ram’s career, Bimbisara has opened to his career-best figures. The film reportedly collected around Rs 7 crore share on its opening day. This is one of the best starts for a non-star hero film after the pandemic. With the excellent opening, the film might well hit the breakeven mark by the end of first weekend itself.

Sita Ramam, despite featuring a non-local hero has also opened on a decent note. Given the genre of the film, the decent start in the current scenario can be regarded as a very positive sign. In fact, it has crossed the opening day tally of Naga Chaitanya’s Thank You. With thes positive vibes, the film is expected to have a good weekend.

Both Bimbisara and Sita Ramam were sold for nomin prices. Given the positive start at the box office and the good momentum leading into the weekend, if these films have a long run, they might fetch profits to everyone involved.
