Operation Valentine: ‘Major’ Coincidence?

Varun Tej and his team behind “Operation Valentine” are pulling out all the stops to promote their upcoming movie. Produced by Sony Pictures India, the film’s theatrical trailer is set to launch on February 20th.

“Operation Valentine” promises to be a thrilling patriotic adventure, highlighting the courageous efforts of Indian Air Force heroes during a significant aerial assault against Pakistan.

This movie follows in the footsteps of Sony Pictures’ previous success with the 2022 release “Major,” starring Adivi Sesh, which also celebrated the valor of Indian soldiers and was shot in both Hindi and Telugu.

Scheduled for release on March 1st in Telugu and Hindi, “Operation Valentine” continues Sony Pictures India’s trend of backing films with military themes.

Their recent projects, including “Major”, “Operation Valentine,” and the upcoming Siva Karthikeyan film, “Amaran,” suggest a deliberate focus on patriotic narratives.

This trend raises questions: Is it because such films are popular now, or are there political reasons behind it?
