OTT: Balayya Making Noise, Chiru Goes Mute

The Sankranthi biggies – Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy have made their OTT debut on Netflix and Disney+ Hotstar respectively.

But going by the early reception on OTT, Veera Simha Reddy is making more noise compared to Waltair Veerayya.

Veera Simha Reddy’s Mass action blocks and BGM scenes are going viral on social media. These clippings are all over the internet after the OTT debut on Disney+ Hotstar. In accordance, Hotstar also promoted the film aggressively.

But in the case of Waltair Veerayya, there’s isn’t quite as much noise. There isn’t as much reception from the Telugu social media crowd.

Veera Simha Reddy has a fair bit of action sequences that have repeat value. This is helping its cause on OTT despite the not so OTT friendly content.

This is lacking in the case of Waltair Veerayya and it’s clearly showing now. The Chiranjeevi starrer has gone almost completely mute on OTT.
