OTT Hits This Weekend

Apart from Bangarraju, this week was quite dull as not many films were released in Telugu. This made people look at the OTT window to see what is up there to savior this weekend. Let’s look at some of the movies that you can give a shot on OTT this week.

If you are into anthology films, then your pick should be Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa which is a short film series in Tamil. There are five stories and each of them has the backdrop of the Covid lockdown in Chennai. Made on an emotional note, each story showcases the mindset of various people during the tense second lockdown.

Coming to Telugu, there are two projects to give a shot. One is The American Dream(AHA) featuring Prince and the other one is Sky Lab(Sony Liv) featuring Satyadev and Nithya Menen. Both films have their own highs on lows and if you have some ample time, give them a shot. Also, Pushpa is one obvious choice for those who missed it on screen.

Coming to Hindi, there are two new projects in the form of Ranjish Hi Sahi(Voot), a film, and Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein(Netflix) which is a TV show that has won decent appreciation. For those looking for some regional stuff, the Kannada film Garuda Gamana Vrishaba Vahana, the hit film is also streaming on Zee 5.

Finally, from those which have finally released a few days back, the Telugu film Senapathi(AHA) and Ayushman Khurrana’s Chandigarh Kare Aashqiue(Netflix) are surely worth a watch if you did not have time to catch them.
