Bollywood’s Biggest Gamble Paying Off!

Global Superstar Shah Rukh Khan‘s Pathaan is going to release next week on 25th January, and the film has garnered immense hype among the audience.

The return of Baadshah after four years, the blockbuster songs, and the controversies surrounding the film have generated tremendous curiosity among cinema lovers to watch the film, and that excitement is visible in the presales of tickets for the film.

Pathaan has already sold 1,75,000 tickets in the national multiplex chains within 24 hours, including 1,17,000 for the opening day. This is the highest ever for Bollywood, beating Salman Khan’s Sultan, which was around 1,15,000 tickets.

Brahmastra had sold approximately 3 lakh tickets and KGF 2 around 5 lakh tickets before their release.

The full-fledged advance booking will start today. Reports suggest that Pathaan will surely cross Brahmastra’s first-day collections of 32 crores. It would be interesting to see if it can match or cross KGF 2’s 53 crores first-day net.

The trade is expecting that the pace at which Pathaan’s presales are going, it is sure to be the highest non-holiday opener for Bollywood, beating Sanju (2018), which collected 35 crores on its opening day.

If the content of the film is liked, then the film will wreak havoc on its second day (26th January), which is a national holiday.

Pathaan was Bollywood’s biggest hope, and the early trends suggest that the film is on track to revive Bollywood.
