Two massive turkeys let TFI down!

We are exactly a month away from the completion of first half of the year. So how has the Telugu film industry fared in all these months leading to half of the year? One has to say it was all fine till two massive turkeys happened.

Right on the first day of the year we had a huge success in the form of Nenu Sailaja. It continued in the Sankranthi season with all films performing up to the given potential. Many expected this run to continue in the summer as well with few biggies slated to release.

Unfortunately things didn’t go as planned after a bright start with Oopiri. First we had a big disaster Sardaar Gabbar Singh and although there was a big success like Sarrinodu in between the end with a washout like Brahmotsavam spoiled all the positive mood of the trade. More than Allu Arjun’s success the losses incurred by Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu have become the talk of town and thereby bringing down all the success enjoyed by TFI till now. Can the new films be successful enough to erase the nightmares of these two films? We will have to wait and see.
