Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited film OG, directed by Sujeeth, is all set to hit theatres on 25 September 2025. The film has already created a strong buzz, especially among overseas fans, as seen in the impressive advance ticket sales in the USA.
However, fans now face major disappointment regarding the Hindi release of OG. The film, which was expected to be Pawan Kalyan’s biggest opportunity to break into the Pan-India market, may not see a proper release in national multiplex chains.
Made on a massive budget of over ₹200 crore, OG was seen as a last big shot for Pawan Kalyan to establish himself as a national star. But due to a four-week OTT release window, its theatrical run in North India will reportedly be limited.
What stings fans even more is the comparison with Teja Sajja’s upcoming film Mirai, made on a more modest ₹60 crore budget. Mirai is reportedly getting an eight-week theatrical window and a wider Hindi release. This gives it a better chance at Pan-India recognition.
Fans believe OG had all the right elements scale, star power, and pre-release hype but the limited Hindi screenings have crushed its national potential. Many are heartbroken, feeling that the makers themselves have shut the door on OG’s wider reach.
While OG is still expected to perform strongly in the Telugu states, its dream of making a national impact appears to be slipping away. For Pawan Kalyan’s followers, the Pan-India dream now feels like a missed opportunity.
