Peddi BO: Why No Noise In 2 Markets?

It has been a while since the Telugu film industry has standardised the pan Indian cinema culture. This is one of the principal reasons why most Telugu films release in multiple languages, including Hindi and Tamil.

For now, the discussion is about Ram Charan’s latest film Peddi. This rural sports drama released in multiple Indian languages as it comes with the famous tag of Pan Indian release.

However, the kind of revenues that are being generated in Tamil and Hindi are not even mention worthy. This has been the case with several Telugu films in the recent past as well.

According to credible box office reports, the Charan starrer was able to gain Rs. 4.5 crore in Hindi in two days, which is an extremely ordinary number. The trend over the weekend, will emerge shortly, but a massive spike is needed immediately.

The alarming trend is that the Hindi audience and neighbouring Tamil audience are gradually losing interest in Telugu films, and this is not an individual case of Peddi as a single entity either.

The ultimate golden rule is obviously the fact that the other language audience will only encourage quality content. Any kind of promotions, be it standard interviews and massive promotions will account for nothing if the content isn’t strong enough.
