Peddi has collected $1.9 million from Wednesday premieres and Thursday Day 1, delivering a moderate opening. Early trade expectations had projected numbers closer to $2.5 million from the premiere day itself.
With Premiere + Day 1 settling at around $1.9 million, Friday and Saturday now become extremely crucial for the film.
It will need strong weekend momentum and a noticeable jump in collections to move comfortably toward its $6.4 million break-even target.
Now that critical reviews and public talk are out, sustaining momentum through the weekend will be key to keeping the box office run healthy.
