Call to boycott PK?

Ever since the basic theme of the film PK was revealed after its release it was expected that someone or the other would soon be trying to create controversy over it. well, in just its first weekend what one predicted has happened.

A section of people have given a call to boycott the film as it is hurting their sentiments. They argue that while all the religions have been just given cursory glance it is only Hinduism that has bore the major brunt. They cite many scenes from the film as examples to put forward their view. These people have been trending the topic nonstop on social networking sites in the process.

Apart from these people giving a call to boycott there have been stray incidents like the one in Puttur where reportedly a message create huge tension at a theater. Luckily for the makers of the film PK, so far the collections have been strong despite all these agitations.
