Pic Talk: Lokesh Shuts His Haters In Style

Kollywood’s most famous director of this generation, Lokesh Kanagaraj, recently faced rumors about canceling his highly anticipated project Coolie with superstar Rajinikanth.

Fans were concerned when Lokesh removed mentions of Coolie from his social media just before filming was to begin.

Music composer Ilaiyaraaja also sent a copyright notice to the makers of Coolie for using his music without permission in the film’s promotional video. Amid these controversies, rumors sparked that Coolie might have been dropped for good.

However, Lokesh has now shut his haters by posting a photo of Rajinikanth in character, confirming that the film is on track.

In the photo shared by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rajinikanth is seen sporting a stylish hair wig to maintain his salt-and-pepper appearance, complemented by a black suit. This is one of Rajini’s best looks in recent times.

Originally slated to start in June, filming is now scheduled for July 2024.

In April, a teaser for Coolie was released, showcasing Rajinikanth’s stylish appearance and hinting at a tribute to Amitabh Bachchan. Anirudh is on board as the music composer for the project.

Coolie marks a significant departure for Lokesh Kanagaraj as it stands outside his usual cinematic universe.
