The Multiplex Association of India shared its plan to revive operations and submitted the same to the Information and Broadcasting Ministry and various state governments across the country. Accordingly, thirteen out of a 48-seats Audi will be left unsold to maintain social-distancing.

That means around 27% of the total seats will be vacant. In Luxury seating, no seats will be left vacant as they already have distance between two seats. Various other precautions like avoiding cash, paper tickets, periodical sanitization, crowd management, single-use 3D glasses, compulsory masks, etc will be taken.

These precautions will be in place for two months after the re-opening of theaters and will be reviewed after that according to the prevailing situations. The exhibition sector is under severe pressures due to ongoing losses and also the penetration of the OTT.

The Multiplex chains are trying their level best to lobby with the Governments to allow them to open as soon as possible.
