Piracy strike to hit Baahubali?

Baahubali is a film that is coming in multiple languages in its dubbed avatar’s. In each of this language owning to the epic scale of the film on display the film has been sold at record prices. So it is important that in those languages Baahubali gets a smooth release.

We have previously reportedly how the Tamil version would be getting benefitted with the likely postponement of Maari, a Dhanush starrer. However things are completely in contrast in Malayalam. A strike against piracy has been planned on July 9 by the film industry there. And if they don’t get a satisfactory response it is said that an indefinite strike would happen from July 10.

With Baahubali slated to release on July 10 a strike of such scale could mean the film would be nonstarter in its opening weekend itself. This wouldn’t augur well for the recovery of the film for sure as going forward it has to compete with many local films. Let’s see how the strike unfolds on July 9.
