Pity: Metro Rail works eating into roads of Hyd

The ongoing Metro works in Hyderabad city only increased the traffic woes for the people. To facilitate right of way for the project, several structures have been demolished all along the three metro rail routes in the city for widening of the roads.

But neither GHMC nor Metro Rail authorities bothered to remove the debris and other materials which were left at the demolition sites..As a result traffic problems are increasing in all the three routes.

Road space is already decreased at the important junctions due to the Metro works, these debris mounds are further eating in to the left over little road space creating frequent traffic jams.In the high-level meeting held at Telangana Secretariat recently, Hyderabad Traffic Police brought this to the notice of both the parties but little has changed since then. With the slow pace of Metro works, looks like the troubles are here to stay for the city people.
