Police Case Filed On Lyricist Ananth Sriram!

A case has been registered against famous lyricist Anantha Sriram. This is regarding a song of Naga Shourya and Ritu Verma starrer ‘Varudu Kavalenu’ directed by Lady Director Lakshmi Soujanya. The team recently released their first single ‘Digu Digu Digu Naga’ penned by Ananth Sriram.

The song has got a good response but criticism is pouring in over the lyricist who penned it. BJP Mahila Morcha leader Bindu Reddy has registered a case against Ananta Shriram at Nellore police station alleging that the song was insulting to the Naga Devatha and hurt the sentiments of Hindus.

The idea of using a devotional song as a film song highlighting the heroine did not go well with Hindu groups. It has to be seen how the producers respond to this controversy. Varudu Kavalenu shooting has been completed the last week. The makers are waiting for things to become conducive to announce their release date.
