Police case on Venky’s heroine for 9 crore fraud

A police case was filed on Bollywood heroine Shilpa Shetty, Venkatesh’s heroine in Raghavendra Rao’s ‘Sahasaveerudu Saagarakanya’ for an alleged fraud of Rs.9 crores. Shilpa Shetty, actress turned entrapeuner is also the owner of one of the teams of IPL cricket teams.

Besides the ownership of an IPL team, she is also running a company by name Essential Sports and Media Pvt. Ltd alongwith Ripu Sudan Kundra. MK Media Private Ltd., a Kolkata-based company complained that Shilpa Shetty and Ripu Sudan Kundra had induced them to invest Rs.9 crores by fraud.

Based on their complaint, the police have filed a case on the actress alleging her of breach of trust and cheating. They have promised the complainants nine times the returns of their investment within two years but only alloted Rs.30 lakh equity shares.
