Police use rape victim as bait to catch

It seems that the police today are disregarding basic human values in an effort to attain their goals. A recent incident showed the height of callousness of police when a teenage girl who had already survived a rape was reportedly used as a bait by the police in order to catch her attacker. Unfortunately, the girl was once again assaulted.

This young girl who hails from Jalna, 400 kilometres from Mumbai, had her phone stolen and been raped by two men when she went to meet a man she had come across on Facebook. But what seems shameful is that the Police is said to have sent her back to the scene twice in a bid to capture the assailants.

The police were able to arrest two men later. However, their actions were criticized heavily, higher officials of police department in the district said that it is very wrong to use a victim as bait, a minor victim at that.
