Popular Remake Not The Reason for Jaanu’s Poor Performance?

Sharwanand and Samantha’s Jaanu had underperformed even in its first week. With this performance and a whopping 21 Crore at stake, it is easy to estimate the fate of the film from here. There are various reasons being told about why the movie underperformed despite getting good reviews.

Many say that just because it is a remake that was already popular, the movie has got no takers at the Box Office. But then, that may not be true. The Originals of Premam and Rakshasudu were also popular like 96 but their businesses were not impacted this badly.

This may be because of the film’s limited appeal. Probably, our audience did not have the patience to sit through such a slow-paced film. For this very reason, the movie is underperforming even at the USA Box Office despite good reviews.

The Promotions should have been aggressive as well but the pre-release buzz was very poor. Jaanu audio too did not make any buzz which is very important for love stories.
