Potugadu director on cloud 9

Potugadu director Pavan Wadeyar seems to be having the time of his life right now, the reason being everything is going so well for him. The director’s most recent Kannada release ‘Googly’ has been faring well at the box office. Pavan, whose another film’s Telugu film, ‘Potugaadu’, will soon be hitting theaters, has managed to sell the remake rights for ‘Googly’ already. The highly successful director now also claims that his scripts for films are also high in demand as the film Googly’s Kannada rights have been sold for a very high amount, almost 45 lakhs. He also cleared the air saying Naga Chaitanya will not be doing this film as he is busy with other commitments.

This amount is the highest ever paid for a Kannada film and the director seems to be on cloud nine moreover news about the producer splitting the amount with him has been heard. Usually in cases like these the producer gets the money since the script belongs to him but on mutual understanding it is decided to divide the money between the two.
