Prabhas Taking Unnecessary Risk with Adipurush?

Young Rebel Star Prabhas recently announced his first straight Bollywood film, Adipurush, and the movie will go on floors very soon. The movie is based on Epic Ramayana and Saif Ali Khan will be seen as Ravana – the Villain. However, the movie is likely to run into controversy.

In an interview, Saif Ali Khan made shocking comments. He revealed that the director has tried to make Ravan humane in the film and Adipurush will justify Ravan’s abduction of Sita. “The war with Ram will be shown more like a revenge for what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off her nose,” Saif said.

If this is true, a massive controversy awaits Prabhas. Ramayana is a revered epic for Hindus and any attempt to tamper with it will not be taken lightly. Moreover, the film comes at a time when tempers are high as Ayodhya Ram Mandir’s dream is finally happening. Attempting such a controversial film is totally unnecessary for Prabhas at this juncture of his career.

Directed by Om Raut, T Series is bankrolling Adipurush with an estimated budget of Rs 450 crore.
