Prabhas and film release delays have gone hand in hand since the Baahubali days. Whenever one of his films missed an announced release date or took longer than expected to finish, a section of audiences and trade circles often pointed fingers at the actor. Over time, assumptions started growing that Prabhas himself was one of the reasons behind production slowdowns.
Industry discussions occasionally suggested that despite allocating dates for filmmakers, Prabhas was not always consistently available for shoots. Some even speculated that delays happened because of scheduling issues from the actor’s side, creating an image that he was partly responsible whenever projects moved slower than expected. He faced a lot of backlash from producers, industry circles, and even fans.
Now, according to industry buzz, Prabhas appears determined to change that perception.
The actor is reportedly putting extra effort into keeping his upcoming projects moving according to schedule. He is currently balancing work on Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, while also participating in director Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauzi.
Reports suggest Prabhas has been shooting continuously despite demanding schedules and harsh summer conditions. The focus, according to industry talk, is to ensure production timelines move forward without unnecessary delays.
The plan reportedly extends beyond these projects as well.
Sources suggest that after completing Fauzi, Prabhas intends to move directly toward Kalki 2 without taking long breaks in between. Industry insiders also claim that he skipped a summer vacation this year to remain fully available for filmmakers and ensure smooth execution of multiple productions.
Those close to the industry believe Prabhas has become particularly serious about ensuring his upcoming films arrive on time.
With Spirit, Fauzi, and Kalki 2 carrying huge expectations across India, the actor reportedly wants conversations around delays to gradually disappear and attention to shift entirely toward the films themselves.
However, large-scale pan-India projects operate very differently from regular films. Massive VFX requirements, multiple shooting schedules, large-scale planning, and lengthy post-production work often become major reasons behind delays. So even if Prabhas himself tries hard, films might still get delayed due to other reasons, and he might still get blamed.
