Prabhu Deva flops with his first original work

Director Prabhu Deva’s first original work, according to the director himself, has released this Friday and the result is on the expected lines. The film, R..Rajkumar starring Shahid Kapoor has opened to poor reviews critically with many ripping it apart. Many even commented how the film was a rip off of many South Indian films although not a direct remake. Opening at the ticket counter was better thanks to the chartbuster songs in the album though.

However with word of mouth also being not that encouraging the film is most likely to collapse post the weekend which would mean a flop for the actor again. Shahid Kapoor has been banking on this film and masala trend prevailing currently to bail him out of the mess but nothing seems to be working for him at the moment. For heroine Sonakshi Sinha this is a consecutive failure two weeks in a row. Her last week release Bullet Raja too had failed at the box office. So in short everyone related to the film have now tasted back to back failures. One has to wait and see what the future has in store for them.
