A disturbing incident unfolded at Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja pandal during Ganesh Chaturthi. Viral footage showed actresses Pragya Jaiswal and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary being jostled and nearly crushed in the crowd, sparking heated debates on safety and crowd control.

Earlier, a family from Surat shared their ordeal on Reddit. They described how the younger sister suffered a head injury, the mother’s kurti was torn in a scuffle, and the father fainted due to suffocation. The family left without darshan, criticising the authorities for failing to provide water, medical aid, or proper crowd management.

The post also accused organisers of double standards, pointing out how celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan were given clear access while ordinary devotees were treated poorly. But viral videos of Pragya and Priyanka show that even stars faced serious risks at the pandal.

Similar chaos had been reported earlier when Jacqueline Fernandez and Avneet Kaur struggled through heavy crowds on the first day of the festival. Social media is now flooded with demands for stronger safety protocols, medical facilities, and effective crowd control to prevent further tragedies.

Many devotees are urging others to stay cautious and avoid visiting until organisers ensure a safer environment at Lalbaugcha Raja. The recurring incidents highlight the urgent need for better arrangements to protect both celebrities and ordinary worshippers.
