Praja Rajyam memories still chase Chiranjeevi!

Praja Rajyam Party is a nightmare in Chiranjeevi’s illustrious career. The phase not only applied brakes to his acting career but also brought him several names which he would not be proud of. Congress’ worst defeat in 2014 elections may be the final nail in the coffin and the actor is heading back to films.

But a case registered during PRP days comes back to haunt him. It was booked against him in 2008 allegedly because he was obstructing the public and traffic with a road show with out permission in Nandyal. Chiranjeevi on Wednesday knocked the door of high court to quash the case.

Chiranjeevi found a legal loophole in the case that it was filed based on the statements of constables on bandobast duty on that day and in previous such occasions, the High Court had found fault with registration of the crime based on police proceedings without any independent complainant reporting the crime.
