One of the most innovative film makers of this generation, Prashanth Neel is working with NTR for his upcoming project, which has been titled Dragon. A glimpse of this video was released last night on the eve of Tarak’s birthday and it grabbed the right chord.
Reacting on the topic, Prashanth has categorically confirmed that this will be the last film of this genre from him. He said Dragon is going to be the last film of this large scale action format for him.
This would naturally bring doubts on the possible sequel for Salaar and KGF 3. But Neel has confidently said he’s done with this action backdrop space after Dragon so there might be some sort of a back plan for him.
This really is a smart move from Prashanth as he should be aware of the fact that the audience will also generally grow bored of repetitive stuff and there’s no going back from here. So he appears to have decided to be done with this space for good.
For someone as talented as Prashanth, he can certainly explore new tropes of commercial cinema at will and this versatility will cement his legacy beyond all doubt.
There are many directors who have tasted success in this commercial format, but someone who is as talented as Prashanth can certainly flip their choices at the right time and that’s exactly what he appears to be preparing for.
