Prashanth Neel has proven himself as a mass director. He is able to play to the strengths of his heroes and create a mass bubble for his films. He showed the same by following Salaar with KGF 2.
For now, let us set aside the final box office run projection of Salaar as we need to see that over the weekend. But as far as the openings go, Salaar is getting a mass start in almost every market. It is off to a roaring start.
What this does is set a positive and good stage for Neel’s film with NTR. Had Neel delivered a disaster with Salaar and stuttered alarmingly, it wouldn’t have set the right space for NTR’s film. But that didn’t happen as Neel delivered a commercially viable product with Salaar
Moreover, with NTR’s film, Neel will be more at an advantage as he has a hardworking and immensely skilled hero at his disposal. The mass appeal is also there.
Neel had revealed that NTR is his dream actor and his film with Tarak will be a dream project for him. Now that he has shown what he is capable of, outside the KGF world, Neel will have more freedom and can explore more avenues with NTR. So, this project is going to be an exciting one in many ways.
