Script Locked but No Producer!

‘Kalki’ didn’t live up to the expectations on director Prashanth Varma by the virtue of his debut venture ‘Awe’ that had an out-of-the-box premise. Now, the director is ready to move on to his next movie ‘Awe 2’, the sequel of his debut movie.

The director has already locked the script for his third movie and even has the names of big actors like Kajal Aggarwal and Taapsee who are interested to work with him in ‘Awe 2’. He is even planning to approach the powerhouse of talent from Tamil, Vijay Sethupathy.

Everything is fine, the actors he wants and the script complete. But, the director is yet to find a producer to bankroll his movie. It’s understood that finding a producer was difficult because of the commercial prospects of the film.

Unlike his debut ‘Awe’ that had no message but a character-driven flick, ‘Awe 2’ is going to be message-oriented, says the director. Hope, he’ll find a producer soon who understands his vision.
